Pups and Landscaping

It has been an interesting week.

Yesterday I got to go to Grandma and Grandpa's house. Molly was visiting as well so we got to play. Well, when I say play...I bounced around trying to get her to play and she barked and tried to make me go away. It was all fun anyways.

I've discovered that there is a doggy next door. We've had a good sniff of each other under the fence. I've brought all my good toys to the fence in case he decides he wants to play with me.
But he doesn't. Why oh why doesn't anyone ever want to play with me?

Ahem...anyways...

Seeing as I am getting bigger Mom and Dad decided that I should have more access to the yard. I have taken it upon myself to do some landscaping.

A few of the palms needed pruning...

The irrigation needed trimming. Psst...there more running underground. I'll get to that later...

Hmm...what else can I do?

Hamish, Jungle Explorer. Maybe I can do something about all these ferns... (Hey, there is something weird going on with my ears lately...they used to be more well behaved)

Oh...and I got another toy taken away today. Apparently Mom doesn't like it when I eat bits off of it. They never let me have any fun.

Saturday n' Stuff

I freaked Mom out on Thursday. I ran into the kitchen and leaped up onto the kitchen counter. She just stared at me with her mouth hanging open, before coming to her senses and scolding at me. Funny!

Today I got another toy to replace all the destroyed ones. It's supposed to be very tough, but we'll see!
It was all very tiring

Giraffe - Day 2

Hamish, Toy Tester Extraordinaire, has determined that the giraffe is a dud...unable to withstand the mighty Airedale jaws.
New toy, Mom?

Giraffe

To make up for the demise of the Giggling Dumbell Mom got me a giraffe.

Nah, just kidding. It was more like this.

Unfortunately, it seems to be missing a foot already.

I was so excited by my new toy that I didn't even want to go for a walk.

After a shower and a lot of zoomies, I settled down in my chair and watched David Attenborough's Life of Mammals.

A Day with Molly

We went to Molly's house today because it is her dad's birthday. If you don't know who Molly is, she looks a lot like this
(notice baby me in the background demanding some attention)

I had lots of fun running around with Molly...well, she'd run and I'd chase after her. She'd try to lose me...but I'm bigger and faster now! HAHA!

Mom complained because I spent most of the time outside instead of hanging out with everyone like normal. What she didn't understand was that it was doggie paradise out there. Bones as far as the eye could see. I spent the whole day taste testing all of them.

Yum Yum!

I did run inside every now and again unexpectedly to try and catch them doing something exciting. They wouldn't be, so I'd go back outside. You never can tell though.
I stole a candle at one stage. It was just sitting on the table lookin' all tasty. Mom chased me all around the yard trying to get it back. I went under the house where she couldn't get me, but Molly chased me out. The traitor! Anyways, Molly's mum took the candle away from me so I wasn't able to eat. Luckily there were still plenty of bones to munch on.

It was all very tiring and I slept the whole way home.

No More Giggles

Mom and Dad have decided that I am no longer allowed to play with my Giggling Dumbell because I chewed a hole in it. Outrageous! The nerve of some people!

Memories...

Hamish, the ferocious dumbell killer

though it does make a nice pillow as well

Or it did...*sob*

Nurse Hamish and the Chair Snatchers

It's been a pretty busy two days. Dad has been home sick so I have had to look after him. Providing loads of comfort and making sure he gets lots of rest.

Mom had the nerve to sit in my chair though when she was watching tv...just so Dad could have the couch to himself. My chair! The nerve!

As soon as she went somewhere else though I got it back.

'Cos ya know...it's my chair.

Tasty Books and Zoomies

Mom says that I have been naughty again today. I don't know what she is talking about. Oh, that...that wasn't me. It was the Fluffies!

Hamish, I saw it in your mouth

Only because I had just gotten it away from them! I was framed!

...

Mom! Get out of my blog!

Anyways, after all of that Mom decided that it was time for a shower because my Nacho Flavoured Doritos smell was getting too strong. I tried to tell her that that is how Airedales are supposed to smell, but she wouldn't listen.

Now, I don't really mind water. In fact, Mom was running a bath for herself the other day and I voluntarily jumped in to test the water temperature. I do however lean against the wall in a very passive agressive sort of manner the whole time...otherwise she would think I was enjoying it.

The problem is that now I smell all sweet and coconutty. That's not manly at all! So afterwards I had to race around the house and rub myself all over everything to get rid of the smell. I also jumped up onto the couch and kicked everything out of the way. I then pulled some stuffing out of it because it looked rather tasty.

It wasn't. And I just ended up getting into trouble again...

Thursday

Thursday I got to go to Grandma and Grandpa's. It took forever before we were able to leave. I like going there. Usually my cousin, Molly, is also there and we have fun playing together.

What is taking so long? Why aren't we going?

C'mon!!! I am ready to go! If we do not go soon I will be forced to use my demon eye mind control! oooeeeooo!

*sigh* apparently we have to wait for Dad to get home first.

We finally left and went to Grandma and Grandpa's. Sadly, Molly wasn't there. I looked everwheres but couldn't find her. Apparently her mom and dad were sick so she didn't get to come over.

I was still able to have fun though playing with everyone and exploring the gardens. I even wore myself out a bit. Luckily Dad's comfy.

Growing...soon I will be Godzilla size!!! bwhahahaha

I have noticed recently that I am getting bigger. I can now reach the top of the kitchen counters which I am able to lick clean. Mom isn't very happy about this and tends to scold me if she catches me. Dunno why. You'd think she'd be happy for me to help her clean??

I am now also able to open the back screen door. So when Mom wants to go outside by herself (What's she thinkin'?!) I bang on the door and let myself out. Mom isn't happy about this either.

I have also taken to poking Mom on the back of the legs with my nose or a toy if I feel she isn't walking fast enough. This is especially funny if she is trying to balance a bowl of water. But you guessed it - Mom isn't happy about that either! Geez! I find it hilarious!
