(usually while everyone was trying to sleep)

Bothering people while they sleep by tickling them in the face with his whiskers

Pulling back everyone's covers while they sleep (keeping in mind it's winter)

Come to think of it, I don't think Rove did anything either. He has spent most of the time sleeping in his basket on top of the fridge.

Yeah, but that is only because they are hibernating...otherwise I am sure they would have chewed up someone's shoe.

Yesterday Fable was on top of Mom's desk. She was walking along the edge pretending that she was a tightrope walker when she lost her balance. She flailed about trying to grab onto something to prevent her fall. She grabbed onto the camera strap which only caused the camera to fall to the ground with her.

Fable is fine.

Camera is unwell. The lens is broken.

The momma is very unhappy and is threatening to put Fable out for Council pick up along with the broken tv and the chewed up pool.

So if you drive by our house...and Fable is sitting by the curb...then you know it happened.

A Week In Review

What happened this week...

I had a bath

So I had to get rid of that sweet clean smell

Then I had a bad case of the zoomies

We have also had lots of fun playing with Fable this week

She likes hiding in Dad's bag. If we come too close she pokes us which scares us if we don't know she is there. She also likes to grab my tail and play with my beard. She chased Yuna off the couch last night because Yuna didn't like her tail being played with.

Fable also hides in a box and jumps in and out of it. When she does this I run away and try to get her to chase me.

She also has a very comfy little bed

Today she was hiding under a blanket and her and Yuna were pawing at each other through the blanket. Yuna bounced around and play bowed. Yuna got upset when I came over to see what was happening. Hmpf! Dunno why I couldn't have joined in!

Da smoothie also likes to pretend that she is a ferocious leopard

It was really hot today (39C, 102.2F) so once it cooled a bit we got to go to the beach. It was nice and the water was warm, but refreshing.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas and got lots of cool stuff. I got some ball and rope toys and a large red plastic egg which Mom says is for chasing around the yard

which he is also scared of...

shh...and this tennis ball which only lasted about 5 minutes.

Yuna also got ball and rope toys and a flat stuffingless toy which she likes to shake around.

Molly was there too and got some cool presents. She preferred to use her ball and rope toy as a necklace.

Yay! Presents!

I also got a cool Kong squeak and stretchie toy from Bailey and Lexie, two cool Airedales from Texas.

Yuna kept taking it off me though.

Fluffies got presents too. As you can see, they are beside themselves with excitement

They got a little machine that shoots out catnip bubbles, but they weren't impressed (and Wil didn't like the noise it made)

Facelift

Yuna had to have eye surgery last week. Her eyelids were rolling inwards causing her eyelashes to rub on her eyes. It was happening more often and causing problems so the vet thought it should get done.

Apparently Yuna was really good and sat still while the vet removed her stitches. Now her eyes are a bit bigger and she can see better.

Yuna has been a lot happier since having the op done. She has been tearing around the backyard more. She has been shoving her toys in my face and bashing into me until I chase her. Unfortunately she isn't as fast as me and sometimes stacks it, rolling and tumbling in the grass. It doesn't phase her though and she just jumps back up while I point and laugh.

Oops, gotta go. Someone wants to have another race around the pond.

Look! We are back at the beach...and you may notice I do not have a leash on. Uh huh!
It was only for a short time but i had a good run around with Yuna and another dog we met.

She Who Hates Water was happy about it being low tide.

Yuna helped me bring a big stick back to Dad.

Just before we left Yuna suddenly ran off into the water after some ibis. Yuna! In the water! She got about to her chest before turning around and coming back. Mom was laughing too much to take photos.

Psst...wanna hear a story?

Last night Hamish was just lying around the house while Mom was using the computer. He made some odd noise at some stage but looked normal enough so we thought nothing more about it.

Then he went to sleep. Sometimes Ham has bad dreams and he started having one, he was crying and his eyes were rolling back in his head. Mom called his name to wake him up. He then started making weird clacking noises with his teeth while walking around really slowly. Mom was concerned and went to check him out and his teeth were clamped really tight. By this time Mom was freaking out and was afraid that he had really had a seizure or something. Hamish ran away and Mom and Dad went after him to get a better look.

He had a plastic bathtub plug in his mouth.

Apparently he had stolen it earlier and had been very cleverly hiding it in his mouth. Then he fell asleep with it still in his mouth so Mom wouldn't find it! Then he was being difficult because he didn't want her to take it off of him.

So Mom was pretty angry with him for causing her to be upset for nothing and taking better care where she puts the bathtub plug in the future. Is he a doofus or what?

Because Mom and Dad got new couches and we are not allowed on them. I am very upset and put on my most "hard done by" look when they get to lie on the couch.

Mom wasn't very happy with me yesterday. In the morning she gave me a shower because she said I was a bit smelly (how rude!). Look how clean and curly I am. Well I was thinking that I was probably too clean so later that afternoon I had a dip in the fish pond. Notice the lovely muddy beard. The feet were rather dirty too. Just the way I like it!

Unfortunately that meant I had to have another shower. Mom was not happy!

But really, how can she stay mad when I am so cute?

Mom was a bit perplexed by the Fluffies as well yesterday.

After my showers Mom puts a blanket down in the kitchen so I can rub myself all over it in a crazy manner. (It's so much fun)

Later that night after Mom had put the blanket away Wil thought the floor there smelt very interesting and proceed to rub himself all over it. Weirdo Wil.

Hi! Me again!

It has been pretty cold lately so I have been doing a lot of cuddling up to Hamish...you know, because he is a big furry ball of heat. The bad part is he just does not stay still. I'll be there trying to sleep and he will keep rolling around trying to get comfy. I mean, he has the pillows..what more does he want?
I vaguely remember one day being sunny and not too bad...

Hamish is also good for sitting on. Often I will sit on him because he makes a comfy chair. Sometimes while we are waiting for mom and dad to finish dinner he will let me sit on his head.

He does not like photographic evidence of it though and promptly pushed me off when he heard the flash on the camera pop up. Ha ha too late!

Growing Up.

Little Yuna is growing up. This week she graduated from puppy preschool. Also this week she learned how to jump up on the couch by herself. Which is a bit of a relief as I was getting sick of her standing on me so that she could lift herself up onto the couch. She still sometimes sits there with pleading eyes until someone picks her up...but I think she is just trying to play the "I'm a Cute Puppy" card for as long as she can.

A bit of couch wrestling should remind her who is bigger and better!

I'm thinking that I may have to fire the Momma. She took photos last weekend...resized them and everything, then forgot to put them on the blog. How slack is that?

Today each of us got a new toy. Yay, right?

Sort of...see, I would be happily playing with my toy and Yuna would have to come take whatever toy I had. I'd go get the other one and she'd have to have that one too!

Mom has been sick lately so we have been working over time giving her lots of cuddles while she is unwell. Tonight for support we thought we should both lie on top of her while she caught up on her comics.

This looks like a job for Team Cuddle!

It has actually been pretty good having Mom home just because I get to spend most of the day on the couch or lounging in a chair.

Hey there, Yuna here. I have hijacked Hammy's blog to tell you about my week.

Early in the week Mom decided that I needed a bath because some strange Airedale keeps rolling me around the ground (it is really quite rude. I mean, I will just be standing there and he will race up and crash tackle me. Or sometimes, I am just standing there, trying to wee and he will grab a mouthful of wrinkles and drag me away. Rude, right?!) Anyways! Hammy was driving Mom a bit nuts because she was trying to fill up the tub to give me a bath and he kept jumping in! So I thought this must be something great, right? Wrong! She put me in the tub and it was the most horrible thing ever! I thrashed about and had a cry so she would stop the torture. Mom ended up putting me in the shower to finish washing me. It was sort of like being rained on. I didn't like it, but it was no where near as bad as that tub thing.

Then it was Hammy's turn. I laughed.
